New functionality: The BrandsEye Prediction Engine
by Claire Le Grange on 2009/06/08
Everything can be made to work better and faster. That's how we feel about BrandsEye. The technical geniuses have been hard at work improving functionality so you can save between 30 and 40% of the time required to sort and rate mentions. The latest improvements will also ensure that you get the best results possible from our software by improving accuracy and all but removing the risk of human error.
The credibility of a mention is largely judged according to two factors: hard numbers such as the number of subscribers or followers and rankings such as the page rank and Alexa Rank. However, other factors need to be taken into account including various onsite and offsite factors. The Prediction Engine makes it easier to rate the credibility of mentions by aggregating this data and making an auto completed recommendation.
By taking into account a whole host of credibility factors and doing the number crunching on your behalf, this new function ensures that there is less subjectivity, increasing the accuracy of the rating through the implementation of standardised operations. This gives you a reliable point of reference to ensure that you are correctly rating the credibility of the mention. And because only a human can tell the difference between Seth Godin and Paris Hilton, you can still edit the credibility rating if it's a little off (better still, BrandsEye will remember your change and make that recommendation in future).
If you're like me and battle to recognise the difference between Romanian and Norwegian you will also just love that BrandsEye now gives a language recommendation and covers more than 40 different languages. Another nifty improvement is that the Prediction Engine also sources the media origin, again saving you time so you can get to the results.
If you already have an account, the Prediction Engine will be activated just as soon as you mark a mention as relevant and it may take a second or two while BrandsEye works out all these factors.
Keep a look out for further improvements, we won't stop until BrandsEye is the irrefutable super-power of ORM. If you have any suggestions, we'll be delighted if you would contact us and let us know what is important to you.
