Official Launch of BrandsEye Version 2
by Tim Shier on 2011/02/09
BrandsEye launches Version 2 of their software this week. The Online Reputation Management (ORM) software has been heavily upgraded with an advanced HTML5 interface, full sentiment automation and integrated team workflow for social CRM. Having been in Alpha testing with select clients for a few weeks it will now be made available to new and existing clients in Beta from today.
BrandsEye supplies ORM to businesses in 26 countries across five continents and has evolved with the changing needs of the market and provides a service to the marketing communication and increasingly to HR, customer service and business strategists. ORM is allowing businesses to leverage a new level of responsiveness to market changes, with online feedback, sentiment, qualitative insights and reputation scores emerging as a new form of real-time consumer research.
BrandsEye Version 2 offers a greater level of support, assisting clients with brand benchmarking along with consulting, managing and planning for online reputation crises. The new iteration includes an end-to-end Social Media workflow, full automation, escalation processes and the ability to action response to Social Media situations from within the BrandsEye interface.
BrandsEye Version 2 was built in HTML5 with its users’ experience as the number one priority. The new navigation is more intuitive and provides immediate insights and reporting capabilities. The improved interface has also resulted in a much faster service and process automation across the board.
"For the second version of BrandsEye, we decided to really push the boundaries of what's possible in a browser, and so we developed it using versions of browsers that hadn't been released yet - Firefox 4, IE 9, Chrome 9, etc. With the growth of HTML5, the capabilities of the latest modern browsers have increased tremendously over the past 6 months, and we have reached a place where open web technologies compare favourably with desktop and Flash software. It's an exciting time." says Craig Raw, the CTO from Quirk responsible for leading the team developing the new version of BrandsEye.
Having started out in 2006 as a service within the Quirk Group, BrandsEye is now a fully independent business running autonomously of the Quirk agency.
Tim Shier, MD of BrandsEye, reflecting on the new version, says, “Back in 2008, we launched one of the first ORM services in the world, and certainly the first in Africa, to a market that didn’t know what it wanted or why it needed the service. With BrandsEye Version 2 the product has evolved to meet the emerging needs of business in the digital age, and our own use of the product and constant feedback from our clients and partners has enabled us to respond to our market’s needs quickly.”
"We've been working incredibly hard as a team and the outcome is a software product which breaks new ground for in-browser applications. The inclusion of fully automated sentiment analysis, a brand new HTML5 driven interface and a social CRM workflow all go to show that South Africa does have the technical capabilities to go head-to-head with the rest of the world,” adds Shier.
New features include:
“I'm immensely proud of the new version of BrandsEye,” says Shier, “and want to thank our incredible clients and partners for their input on what they require from a world class Online Reputation Management system - we hope you like what we've created for you."
"Woolworths has worked with BrandsEye team since Dec 09. This ORM tool has been responsible for tracking and alerting Woolworths to where the relevant conversations are taking place. The BrandsEye team has rallied behind Woolworths and did a fantastic job in advising and controlling situations… we are thankful that the BrandsEye team were there to advise us."- Georgina Muirhead, Woolworths
"We found the team at BrandsEye very professional and their services went beyond the quoted price. They really went out of their way to advise us.” – Cheryl Barnett, Kulula Representative
